In Windows XP it was super easy to disable the firewall for one specific "network adapter"; we had only to go in the Windows Firewall applet in Control Panel and select/deselect the NIC in the Advanced tab:
On Windows 7/8 we need to go into Windows Firewall with Advanced Security:
Click on Windows Firewall Properties link (in blue):
Then clic on Customize... for Protected network connection and here we are :-):
