WordPress – Disabling XML-RPC and Rest API to improve security
In WordPress we have always had inbuilt features that let us remotely interact with our site. We have two different approaches available: XML-RPC, a legacy method, or the newer Wordpress REST API that simplifies the remote interactivity and development of external apps.
